The OSDC CFP site is the most annoying CFP in the entire world. So bloody complicated to go through – really makes you examine if you really wanted to do a talk in the first place.

I very, very nearly said “fark it”. Particularly annoying was their stated desire for authors to customise their biographies to indicate their experience in the field of their proposed paper — and yet, the biography is a general-purpose one for all paper submissions the author might be undertaking. So, if I’m unlucky enough to use that $DEITY-forsaken web interface to submit papers on a regular basis in, say, molecular biology, but I feel I’ve got a contribution to make at OSDC in, perhaps, porting cowsay to Python, I’ve got to rip out (or at least dilute) all of my biology biographical info with geek cred for OSDC.
