yay – latest package updates for ubuntu made suspend and resume work again for me. yet to try some of the xrandr stuff to see if its fixed yet.

Does this apply to Intrepid or Hardy? What in particular was broken — did it only affect certain hardware?
just on my Lenovo x61 on intrepid.
on hardy it worked fine.
